For UK ships, medical stores must be appropriate to the vessel’s area and type of operation and the number of seafarers aboard.

Does ISPS compliance cover owner-specific security risk?

ISPS provides the statutory security framework for covered yachts. A route- and people-specific operational review can identify additional measures without replacing the Ship Security Plan, CSO/SSO responsibilities or specialist advice.

How should medical readiness change for remote cruising?

Start with flag requirements and TMAS arrangements, then test communications, kit, competence, drills and evacuation assumptions against the itinerary. Clinical protocols and prescriptions remain under appropriately licensed medical oversight.

Do you carry out the assessment aboard?

Ideally yes — a walk-through aboard with the crew finds what paperwork can't. A remote review of your current protocols is the starting point either way.
